Amazon Luna Now Offers Individual Game Purchases for Cloud Gaming, Including Exclusive Ubisoft Titles

Amazon Luna, a cloud gaming service, has been in operation since 2020. Throughout the past three years, players have gained access to games on Luna by subscribing to different “channels” that each contain a selection of games.

Currently, Luna offers four channels: Prime Gaming (free for Prime members), Luna+ ($9.99/month), Jackbox ($4.99/month), and Ubisoft+ ($17.99/month).

After three years of focusing on channel subscriptions, Luna recently introduced the option to purchase individual games. However, this feature is currently limited to games from the Ubisoft catalog, as they are partners with Luna.

When purchasing a game on Luna through Ubisoft, players gain access to that game through other Ubisoft platforms as well. This means that players only need to pay once and can enjoy the game offline on their PC via the Ubisoft Connect app or stream it through Luna. The ownership of the game is tied to the buyer’s Ubisoft account.

TLDR: Amazon Luna is a cloud gaming service that offers various subscription channels, including the recent addition of a game purchase option for Ubisoft games. This allows players to access the games both offline on their PC and through Luna’s streaming service by linking their Ubisoft account.
