Introducing the Compact Lenovo Chromebox Micro: A Miniature Powerhouse for Seamless Monitor-Centric Digital Signage

Lenovo has unveiled the compact Chromebox Micro, which takes the size of Chromebox PCs to a new level. While small-sized PCs are not new, this is the first time that ChromeOS PCs have been introduced in this category. The target market for Lenovo’s Chromebox Micro is digital signage, where the small PC is directly plugged into the back of a display screen. The hardware itself is compact, lightweight, fanless, and dust-resistant.

The specifications of Lenovo Chromebox Micro include an Intel N4500 (Jasper Lake) CPU, 8GB of RAM, 32GB eMMC storage, weighing in at just 450 grams. It also offers a complete set of ports, including HDMI, USB-A, USB-C, RJ-45, and an audio jack. The selling price for this device is $219.

In collaboration with Instorescreen, Lenovo has also partnered with a display manufacturer to create a perfectly fitting display screen with a slot for the Chromebox Micro at the back, making installation hassle-free.
