Introducing the Xiaomi SU7: The Electrifying Symphony of a Sedan with a Remarkable 800-Kilometer Charge Range

Xiaomi has unveiled its electric car, the Xiaomi SU7 (short for Speed Ultra), which is a sedan available in three colors: Aqua Blue, Mineral Gray, and Vendant Green. This supercar boasts an acceleration rate of 0-100 km/h in just 2.78 seconds and a maximum range of 800 kilometers per single charge, thanks to its 101kwh battery.

The Xiaomi SU7 has two variants:

1. Xiaomi SU7 RWD (Rear-Wheel Drive) with a maximum power output of 299 horsepower and a torque of 400 Newton-meters. It can reach a top speed of 210 km/h and achieve an acceleration rate of 0-100 km/h in 5.28 seconds. With one full charge, it can cover a distance of 668 kilometers and brakes from 100-0 km/h in 35.5 meters.

2. Xiaomi SU7 Max AWD (All-Wheel Drive) with a maximum power output of 673 horsepower and a torque of 838 Newton-meters. It can reach a top speed of 265 km/h and achieve an acceleration rate of 0-100 km/h in 2.78 seconds. With one full charge, it can cover a distance of 800 kilometers and brakes from 100-0 km/h in 33.3 meters.

Xiaomi emphasizes that the electric car comes equipped with five key EV technologies that define the future of electric vehicles. These include the E-Motor with HyperEngine technology, the CTB battery that integrates with the car’s structure, the Hypercasting car body structure, the autonomous driving system, and the Smart Cabin operating on the HyperOS.

Lei Jun, CEO of Xiaomi, also announced the company’s goal to become one of the world’s top five automobile manufacturers within the next 15-20 years. He envisions Xiaomi’s electric car business to have an impact comparable to Porsche and Tesla. Notably, Xiaomi’s electric car business is a collaboration with Beijing Automotive (BAIC).

Although Xiaomi has not disclosed the selling price of the Xiaomi SU7, they have stated that the car will be available for sale in 2024.
