Dell has unveiled its flagship line of convertible laptops, the XPS series for the year 2024, just before CES 2024. This time, they have launched three different screen sizes: the XPS 13, XPS 14, and XPS 16, which deviate from the previous 13, 15, and 17-inch screen sizes.
The XPS lineup for 2024 adopts the same design as the Dell XPS 13 Plus, which was introduced earlier in 2022. Back then, the XPS 13 Plus was considered a trial product, separate from the regular XPS 13 model that still retained its original design. However, this time around, there won’t be any more Plus models, as all three XPS sizes will adopt the same design.
The distinctive features of the XPS 13 Plus that serve as its signature design include slim borders, touch-sensitive top row keys on the keyboard, and a borderless glass touchpad that seamlessly blends with the palm rest area of the laptop. It comes in two color options: the dark gray Graphite and the silver Platinum. This year, Dell has added a new feature called the “Copilot” button on the keyboard.
Dell explains that the reduction in bezels allows for a smaller form factor, reducing the laptop sizes from 15 and 17 inches to 14 and 16 inches while still maintaining the same display area. This makes the laptops more portable. As for the specifications, the XPS lineup now utilizes the Intel Core Ultra processors with integrated AI acceleration. The 14-inch model can also be configured with a maximum Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 graphics card, while the 16-inch model can accommodate up to a GeForce RTX 4070.
These new Dell XPS 2024 laptops will be available for purchase soon. The starting prices for the three models are as follows:
XPS 13 starts at $1,299
XPS 14 starts at $1,699
XPS 16 starts at $1,899
TLDR: Dell has announced its XPS lineup for 2024, introducing three models with different screen sizes: XPS 13, XPS 14, and XPS 16. These laptops feature a sleek design with thin bezels, touch-sensitive top row keys, and borderless glass touchpads. They are powered by Intel Core Ultra processors with AI acceleration and can be equipped with high-end Nvidia graphics cards. The starting prices range from $1,299 to $1,899.
