Beforehand, Universal Studio Japan, or USJ, announced the preparations for the opening of a new zone in Super Nintendo World, which is Donkey Kong Country, in the upcoming autumn season. Currently, there are additional details about the intriguing Mine Cart Madness ride.
The Mine Cart Madness ride will simulate riding a mine cart just like in the game Donkey Kong Country. The highlight of this ride is that the mine cart will have a section where it detaches from the tracks and continues its movement in a different track, just like in the game.
However, the operation process doesn’t allow the mine cart to freely float like in the game, as Universal Studio has obtained the patent rights for it many years ago. There is a real control track hidden beneath the visible track that the riders can see, creating the sensation of the cart detaching from the tracks, just like in the game itself.

TLDR: Universal Studio Japan is preparing to open the Donkey Kong Country zone in Super Nintendo World. The Mine Cart Madness ride will imitate the game by simulating a mine cart experience, including a section where the cart detaches from the tracks. However, the operation is controlled by a hidden track, giving riders the sensation of the game without the cart actually floating freely.
