On the other end of the spectrum, the highly anticipated Skull and Bones ranked fourth in the UK charts, falling short of expectations with sales barely reaching a quarter of the total copies sold in the region. Resulting in sales figures comparable to Sea of Thieves, a similar genre game released in 2018.
Despite the recent decline in physical copy sales, the low sales figures coupled with unfavorable reviews have painted a negative image of Ubisoft in recent times.
Conversely, Helldivers 2 secured the seventh position in the charts, experiencing a notable 28% increase in sales from its initial week of release. A rare occurrence where a game sees a surge in sales in the second week.
