Windows 11 Insider now supports Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, setting a new standard for cutting-edge technology.

Microsoft has released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26063 to the Canary Channel testing group, introducing a significant new feature of Wi-Fi 7 support. Wi-Fi 7, also known as IEEE 802.11be Extremely High Throughput (EHT), is an evolution from Wi-Fi 6E utilizing the 6GHz frequency band with up to 320 MHz bandwidth to enable faster data transmission. It also incorporates advanced signaling techniques such as 4096-QAM modulation and Multi-Link operation (MLO).

On the Network & internet > Wi-Fi screen, if the router we are connected to is Wi-Fi 7 compatible, the network status will be displayed as shown in the example image.
