Enhancing Image Editing Features with AI on Windows 11 Arm64 and Windows 10 by Microsoft

Microsoft has recently announced an update to the capabilities of the Photos app on Windows. Previously, users were able to remove certain spots in images, known as Spot Fix. This new enhancement comes with a new name, Generative Erase, which Microsoft claims works more seamlessly than before, resulting in a more realistic look.

To use Generative Erase, simply select the image you want to edit in Photos and drag the brush over the area you wish to remove from the picture, similar to how other apps with similar functionalities work.

Microsoft also mentioned that normally these new features would be available exclusively on Windows 11. However, the AI-powered image editing features in Photos will also be added for users on Arm64 and Windows 10. In addition to Generative Erase, users will also have access to AI-powered image editing features that were previously available, such as one-click background blur.

It’s worth noting that these features are currently in preview and only available to a select group of Windows Insiders across all channels.

TLDR: Microsoft introduces Generative Erase in Photos app for Windows, allowing users to seamlessly remove spots from images with AI technology, available for Windows 11, Arm64, and Windows 10 users. Preview features accessible to Windows Insiders.
