Microsoft to Release White Xbox Series X without Disc Drive Mid-2024

eXputer’s website reports that Microsoft is set to release a white version of the Xbox Series X without a disc drive. It is expected to debut sometime between June and July, possibly at a lower price point than the current $499 for the 1TB model.

According to the news, the white Xbox Series X will have the same specs as the original model (Microsoft previously stated there would be no mid-gen upgrades), but with a larger heatsink due to the extra space inside the console from removing the disc drive.

Rumors about a disc-less Xbox Series X have been circulating since mid-2023, along with leaked designs of a barrel-shaped Xbox Series X codenamed Brooklin that also lacks a disc drive. It remains to be seen which information turns out to be accurate.
