Deciphering Technical Glitches: The Enigma of #FakeFollower and #InstagramDown Issues Unveiled Last Night

Meta has revealed an issue where platforms under its umbrella, including Instagram, Facebook, and Threads, were inaccessible for approximately 2 hours last night. Andy Stone, Meta’s Communication Officer, attributed the issue to technical problems.

The Meta Status dashboard explained that the issue stemmed from the login system, with problems starting at 10:17 PM and normal functionality restored by 12:07 AM, returning to normalcy by 2:27 AM.

Meta’s platforms experienced a significant outage, the longest in 2021, lasting over 6 hours, due to an engineering configuration error.

Interestingly, during the same timeframe that Meta’s platforms were down, YouTube and Gmail also faced access issues. However, the majority of affected users were in the United States. Google reported an increase in traffic starting at 10:25 PM Thailand time, prompting system expansion, with services returning to normal by 12:34 AM.
