Google Home has announced the addition of new automation capabilities in Household Routines, allowing devices in the home to perform specified actions based on predefined conditions. With the introduction of Starters, users can now utilize data from their household devices as initial conditions to trigger Actions. This update brings a total of 18 new additions to Google Home’s automation features.
Some of the new additions include conditions such as detecting if doors or windows are open or closed, checking if devices are charging, monitoring temperature and humidity levels, and more. As for Actions, users can now control the lighting based on a certain pattern, turn devices on or off, set timers, reboot devices, and update software.
Additionally, the Script Editor, available in the Preview status, now supports commands from cameras, allows customization of notification messages, and provides access to Automation logs.
