Twitch has sent an open letter from CEO Dan Clancy to platform users regarding the plans for the year 2024, with the main goal of improving the platform to meet user needs. Clancy stated that there are three main areas Twitch will focus on this year: (1) sharing content on the platform, (2) increasing collaborations between streamers, and (3) enhancing the user experience on smartphones.
Sharing content on other platforms, in addition to the Clips tool that makes it easier to share content on other platforms, will make it easier for viewers as well. As for collaborations between streamers, Twitch will make it easier for each channel to create content together, as tested by a system where 6 channels can co-cast with content in each channel. The mobile app will undergo a new design (last updated in 2019) with improvements to the feed, channel follower activities, and the addition of new tools.
