Cease YouTube’s Video Recommendations Upon Logging Out or Activating Incognito Mode

YouTube has stopped showing recommended videos on the home page for users who are not logged into their Google accounts or using the Incognito mode. Instead of recommendations, the current home page will display a blank space along with suggestions to search for videos of interest to kickstart content recommendations on the home page.

Previously, even when users were in Incognito mode, the YouTube home page would still show interesting videos for users. These could be videos with high viewership numbers, for example. YouTube had tested this approach last year, where if users opted to turn off their watch history in the logged-out mode, no recommendations would be made. However, eventually, YouTube would revert to recommending videos as usual. It is unclear whether Google will continue with this change.

TLDR: YouTube no longer shows recommended videos on the home page for users who are not logged into their Google accounts or using the Incognito mode, leaving the home page blank with suggestions to search for videos of interest instead.
