Revamped Technology Suite for Automotive Processing: Anticipating the First-Ever Vehicle Model to Debut in 2025.

Arm has introduced a new suite of processing components for Automotive Enhanced (AE) to meet the demand for developing technology for cars, especially driverless vehicles that require increased AI processing. The AE technology is based on Armv9 and incorporates Neoverse server-level operating platforms into vehicles for the first time. The products unveiled by Arm include Arm Neoverse V3AE for AI processing and ADAS, Arm Cortex-A720AE and Arm Cortex-A520AE SoC chips focusing on energy management and security control, and Arm Cortex-R82AE supporting high-performance real-time 64-bit processing. Arm anticipates the first cars running on the automotive instruction set to be released by 2025, with key chip manufacturers like Marvell, MediaTek, NVIDIA, NXP, Renesas, Telechips, and Texas Instruments already on board. On the software and cloud platform side, partners include AWS, Cadence, Corellium, Siemens, Autoware Foundation, BlackBerry QNX, Elektrobit, Kernkonzept, LeddarTech, and others.
