Exploring Multifaceted Issues in Supply Chain: Tim Cook Meets with Vietnamese Prime Minister

Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple, recently travelled to Hanoi, Vietnam for a two-day visit. During his time there, he met with creators and developers in a post on X. He had the pleasure of meeting two Vietnamese singers, My Anh and My Linh, and enjoyed Vietnamese egg coffee with them.

On Tuesday, Cook met with Pham Minh Chinh, the Prime Minister of Vietnam, and several other ministers to discuss investment opportunities to create jobs in the country. They also discussed enhancing Vietnam’s role in Apple’s supply chain.

Reports suggest that Cook proposed improvements in legal systems, processes to promote science and innovation in the country, as well as increasing clean energy efforts. These are key areas of focus for Apple, given that the company has already invested over $16 billion in Vietnam since 2019, creating over 200,000 jobs and working with 26 suppliers and 28 factories in the country.
