Google Meet has introduced a new feature called “Switch here,” allowing users to seamlessly transfer meetings or calls between devices without the need to dial in or join a new meeting.
Google provides an example scenario where the Switch here feature can be utilized. For instance, starting a meeting on a mobile phone or tablet, and then moving to a work desk to continue the meeting on a laptop. The process involves joining the meeting on the new device, where a Switch here button will appear. Upon clicking it, everything will shift instantly from the initial device. This device migration can be done from a laptop to a mobile app as well.
The Switch here feature in Google Meet is being gradually rolled out to all users starting today.
