BenQ has unveiled its latest monitor, dubbed the RD Series, which is touted as the world’s first programming monitor specifically designed for programmers. This monitor features Coding Modes, a display mode tailored to showcase fonts and text highlighting of program code in IDE more clearly compared to standard display modes. It supports both light/dark theme displays and includes an Application Mode feature that remembers which program is being used as an IDE and automatically switches display modes when that program’s window is brought to the forefront.
Other features include KVM support as default for multi-device connectivity, connection via USB-C, Low Blue Light Plus for adjusting display output to combat eye strain according to sunlight colors at different times of the day, and the ability to freely rotate and tilt the monitor vertically up to 90 degrees.
The RD Series monitors come in three sizes:
– RD240Q (16:10 aspect ratio, 24.1-inch)
– RD280U & RD280UA (3:2, 28.2-inch)
– RD320U & RD320UA (16:9, 31.5-inch)
These products are set to hit the market in the first half of 2024, but pricing has not yet been announced.
