Google has announced that the data center in Hamina, Finland, will be distributing heat generated from the center to nearby homes to be used as a heater.
The Hamina data center is already operational, and the heat generated will be transmitted to the energy company Hamina Energia, which will then distribute it to residences and businesses in the area, accounting for 80% of the annual heat requirements.
