OpenAI Inks Deal with News Corp Media Conglomerate, Gains Access to News Content for AI Applications

OpenAI has announced a multi-year agreement with News Corp, a major media conglomerate. Under this deal, OpenAI will have access to news content within the News Corp group to utilize as data for its artificial intelligence products.

While the official value of the deal has not been disclosed, sources within The Wall Street Journal (which is owned by News Corp) suggest it to be over $250 million for a 5-year period. The payment will include both cash and credits for the usage of OpenAI’s technology.
