Google Meet has introduced the adaptive audio feature to address the issue when multiple users have their microphones open in the same room, causing echo or feedback. It now merges the voices together as if using a central microphone.
Users with the appropriate permissions can activate Adaptive Audio themselves and once enabled, they can continue to speak into their own microphone without having to huddle around a central microphone in the meeting room.
This feature is exclusive to customers with Gemini Enterprise, Gemini Business, Gemini Education, Gemini Education Premium packages, and those who have purchased the AI Meetings and Messaging add-on. It will initially be released for those on Rapid Release in this month and Scheduled Release in the following month.
