Refusal by TikTok to Develop Algorithm Separation for American Users Deemed Infeasible.

TikTok has come out to refute the news that the company is developing a new algorithm specifically for use in the United States in order to continue providing services in the country after being banned. ByteDance, the parent company, was ordered to sell off the business or stop operating in America. However, TikTok claims that the news is distorted and inaccurate. TikTok has previously argued in court that separating the business as required by law to continue operating in the US is impossible, regardless of any considerations, along with the tasks that must be completed within a 270-day timeframe.

According to Reuters, the first to report this information, TikTok’s clarification did not clearly specify which issues were distorted and inaccurate. Reuters confirmed the reported information, but TikTok further explained that they are still working to maintain the user experience as it was before. The news that has been circulated is untrue, including the issue of separating algorithms that would establish separate entities.

TikTok filed a lawsuit against the US government last month following the signing of the app ban law, stating that there is no clear evidence and it has a significant impact on a large number of users.
