EPYC Generation 5 Turin Unveiled by AMD, Boasting a Maximum of 192 Cores and Zen 5 Architecture.

AMD unveiled the server CPU EPYC Gen 5 “Turin” which will be available for purchase starting from the second half of 2024. Utilizing 3 nanometer manufacturing technology, this chip is based on the Zen 5 architecture designed for data center products. It outperforms Intel’s current Xeon processors by a factor of 5.4 for AI workloads.

The EPYC Turin CPU boasts a maximum of 192 cores and 384 threads. Additionally, there is another variant optimized for low-workload scenarios, consuming less energy with the Zen 5c architecture.
