Unveiling Acer’s Eyes Stereo Camera: A cutting-edge 3D imaging marvel capturing live-action moments.

Acer’s latest intriguing product at Computex is not a PC, but a portable 3D stereoscopic camera reminiscent of a compact camera in the past. It goes by the model name Acer SpatialLabs Eyes Stereo Camera.

The concept behind this camera is to capture and record everyday life in a 3D format using 2 lenses positioned to mimic human eyes, each boasting 8MP resolution. It features EIS for stabilization, a selfie mirror, and both auto and manual modes for user customization.

The recorded videos can be uploaded to YouTube or other streaming platforms, and it can also be used as a camera for video calls through apps like Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.

Another unique feature of the Eyes Stereo Camera is its ability to capture objects and convert them into 3D models. Acer has released the SpatialLabs plugin for both Unreal and Unity to easily incorporate these models into various applications.

Priced at $549 each, the camera will be available for sale in the third quarter of 2024.

TLDR: Acer showcased a portable 3D stereoscopic camera, the Acer SpatialLabs Eyes Stereo Camera, at Computex. It can record in 3D format, upload to various platforms, and convert objects into 3D models with the help of plugins for popular development environments.
