MediaTek Set to Develop Arm Chips for PCs Post Expiry of Exclusive Qualcomm Contract

According to Reuters, MediaTek is gearing up to produce Arm chips for PCs as well, following the expiration of Qualcomm’s exclusivity deal with Microsoft in 2024.

This news isn’t surprising given that NVIDIA has already made headlines preparing to enter this market, coupled with Arm’s current “Arm Compute Subsystem – CSS” that integrates multiple chips into a seamless system, providing Arm licensees with a comprehensive chip solution that can be easily customized.

MediaTek already has chips for PCs in its Kompanio series for Chromebooks, proving its capabilities in the PC chip market.
