Unveiling Figma’s Novel UI Design with Expanded Display Area and Generative AI Support

Figma has unveiled a new app design called UI3, addressing workflow and user behavior issues. The focus is on giving users more creative freedom, making it easier for newcomers to access, and modernizing the design after nearly a decade without changes.

A major change in Figma UI3 is the addition of Generative AI as a text prompt for desired elements, optimizing screen usage by reducing tool panel clutter, allowing full-screen display of projects, and enabling tool panels to hide captions and display only icons.

This new Figma design will be gradually rolled out to all users starting today.
