Mark Gurman of Bloomberg recently reported in his weekly newsletter, Power On, the latest information about Apple. This time, he delved into the details of Apple’s sales plan for Vision Pro to increase sales after expanding distribution in Asia in the past weeks.
The first piece of information is about Apple Intelligence feature, which Apple announced will be available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac without mentioning Vision Pro, although it is expected to have its hardware already supported (16GB of RAM, to be exact), with software ported from iPadOS. However, what Apple is still improving is the user experience tailored for usability, with expectations for a direction to be set in the next year.
As Apple started selling Vision Pro outside the US, they also adjusted their sales strategy, for example, the demo provided to customers in Apple Stores had details changed, notably by enhancing the user’s own image and video display processes in a detailed and comprehensive format on Vision Pro. Apple expects this feature to make user interactions more engaging. Additionally, Apple has deepened sessions for those interested in using Vision Pro for work apps or even movie viewing applications.
Another significant change in the Apple Store’s demo, seen first in Asia, is the headband, which has been transformed from the Solo Loop single strap to a Dual Loop that adds a headband with surround lines, with users found to be more comfortable wearing it.
Lastly, an unexpected piece of information is that Apple has started developing operating systems that will be introduced next year, namely iOS 19, macOS 16, watchOS 12, and visionOS 3. What is intriguing is the simple and heartfelt naming code, as iOS 19 is Luck, macOS 16 is Cheer, watchOS 12 is Nepali, and visionOS 3 is Discovery.
TLDR: Bloomberg reported Apple’s sales plan for Vision Pro in expanding markets, enhancements in user experience and sales strategy adjustments, new naming codes for upcoming operating systems, and the introduction of Apple Intelligence features on multiple devices.
