Baidu has revealed statistics on the user base of its AI chatbot Ernie, with over 300 million accounts currently active. This marks a continuous increase, as Ernie had 100 million users in December of last year and has now grown to 200 million as of last April.
The numbers were announced by CTO Wang Haifeng at the Wave Summit 2024 event, where Baidu also unveiled its latest model, Ernie 4.0 Turbo.
Additionally, Baidu disclosed that the chatbot receives over 500 million commands per day, and their development platform PaddlePaddle has garnered 14.65 million users from more than 370,000 organizations, with over 950,000 AI models developed.
