During the Galaxy Z Fold/Flip 6 launch event, Samsung’s mobile division president, TM Roh, discussed the XR glasses that will be released in 2024 in collaboration with Google. The details are scarce at the moment.
According to Business Insider, the XR glasses will be powered by a Qualcomm chip, likely the Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2, given Samsung and Google’s collaboration on chipsets. The code name for the glasses is “Moohan,” with a developer version slated for release in October 2024 and a consumer version in March 2025.
Initial reports suggested the Moohan glasses would debut in Q1 2024 but were delayed because Samsung’s management was unsure if they would be competitive with Apple’s Vision Pro.
