CEOs at Larian express fatigue from excessive accolades for BG3, prompting collaborative team efforts for support.

Swen Vincke, the CEO of Larian, interviewed by gaming magazine Edge (same interview as this news), stated that the overwhelming success of Baldur’s Gate 3 has had a negative impact on the team as they are unable to attend various game awards ceremonies. To address this issue, each team member is now assigned to attend different events to represent the game.

Vincke mentioned that receiving awards is fantastic, but there are numerous award ceremonies happening every day that the Larian team must participate in as these events are crucial, and they want to show appreciation for the recognition. He expressed his dream for everyone in the industry to have events during the same period because attending multiple awards shows can be surprisingly draining on the soul.

In a previous interview, Vincke mentioned wanting to shift focus away from Baldur’s Gate 3 and towards the two new games currently in development.
