Innovative AI Chip Development by NVIDIA Targeting Exclusive Release in China

The news agency Reuters reported that NVIDIA is developing a new AI chip specifically for sale in China. The chip, codenamed “B20,” is said to be in discussions with Inspur to become one of the server distributors for this CPU model. Production is expected to commence in the second half of 2025.

There are no further details on the specific architecture or specifications of the B20 chip. However, given the naming convention, it is likely to be based on the Blackwell architecture, with the top chip model being the B200.

Despite the restrictions on technology exports to China imposed by the US government, China remains a crucial market for NVIDIA, accounting for 17% of its total revenue in the last quarter.

NVIDIA’s representatives have declined to comment on this news report.
