New Release: Apple Maps Web Version Now Available for PC Browsing

Apple Maps, the navigation service by Apple, has recently expanded its services to the web for the first time. Previously limited to viewing data through the app on devices, it can now be accessed worldwide via a browser without the need for Apple devices.

Currently in beta, Apple Maps on the web offers essential features such as driving directions, walking routes, location recommendations, and other various information globally. Additionally, Apple Maps will introduce Look Around, a feature similar to Google Maps’ Street View, in the coming months.

Apple also provides developers using MapKit JS with the ability to integrate map links into the web version.

In its initial stage, Apple Maps only supports the English language but will add more languages in the future. Supported browsers currently include Safari and Chrome for Mac and iPad, while on PC, it is compatible only with Chrome and Edge, with additional support expected in the future.

TLDR: Apple Maps now accessible on the web, offering essential navigation features and coming soon with Look Around, language support to expand in the future, limited browser compatibility at the moment.
