Google unveiled the latest iteration of the Nest Learning Thermostat (now in its 4th Gen), sporting a fresh new look reminiscent of previously leaked images.
The redesigned Nest Learning Thermostat features a sleek, frameless domed glass design that exudes sophistication and minimalism. The enlarged LCD display is now 60% bigger than before, offering enhanced features like Dynamic Farsight to customize themes and displayed information, much like a smartwatch interface. It supports displaying temperature, clock, weather conditions, and outdoor air quality.
New to the mix is the inclusion of the Nest Temperature Sensor (2nd gen) in the package, which can measure both indoor temperature and outdoor air quality. It employs AI to fine-tune the temperature settings of heating and cooling systems to optimize for both health and energy efficiency. It alerts users of poor outdoor air quality and automatically stops drawing air from outside into the home.
Priced at $279.99 each, it will be available for purchase in the United States starting August 20.
