Epic Games Store has officially launched its mobile app version, now available on both Android (globally) and iOS (only in the EU). To install on Android, users must go to epic.download website to download the .apk file for sideloading installation, which involves multiple steps through Google’s warning screens, a process described by Epic as overly complicated.
For iOS installation, users also need to visit epic.download website, and upon pressing the Install button, they must go into iOS Settings to allow file installation through the browser beforehand. This method is only available for users in the European Union.
Currently, Epic Games Store offers 3 downloadable games, all developed by Epic themselves – Fortnite, Rocket League Sideswipe, and Fall Guys mobile version, making its debut on the Epic Games Store.
Epic Games is open to accepting games from other companies, with a revenue sharing fee of 12%, equivalent to the PC platform.
TLDR: Epic Games Store expands to mobile platforms, offering exclusive games like Fortnite and Fall Guys while introducing a competitive revenue sharing model for game developers.
