Announcement: Genshin Impact Unveils Xbox Version, Introduces New Region Natlan with Towering Peaks

After being a neglected platform for quite some time, Microsoft has finally struck a deal with HoYoverse to release the game Genshin Impact on Xbox Series X|S, scheduled to be playable on November 20, 2024.

Genshin Impact made its debut on PC, mobile, and PS4 in September 2020, followed by a PS5 version in 2021. Despite a slight dip in popularity and the release of two new games by MiHoYo/HoYoverse (both lacking Xbox versions) – Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero, the player base for Genshin still remains strong. Meanwhile, Xbox is actively trying to attract more JRPG and Asian-style games onto its platform. The release of Genshin on Xbox can be seen as mutually beneficial for both parties.

The game Genshin Impact continues to receive regular content updates, with the recent announcement of a new sixth nation called Natlan, featuring mountainous terrain. For a glimpse of what’s in store, check out the trailer at the end of the news.
