Qualcomm has unveiled the new Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor for PCs to support OEMs with Copilot+ PC at a sub-$900 price range. The previous Snapdragon X variant had 10 cores and catered to higher-priced PCs above $900.
The Snapdragon X Plus 8-core features the Oryon CPU, similar to the 10-core variant, with a 45 TOPS NPU performance, Adreno GPU performance reduced to 1.7-2.1 TFLOPS, 30MB cache, LPDDR5x 8448 MT/s bandwidth, and a 4nm manufacturing process. It comes in two sub-models: X1P-46-100 and X1P-42-100.
Leading laptop manufacturers Asus with the Vivobook S 15 and Dell with the Inspiron 14 have announced releases using the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core chip.
