Unveiling Lenovo’s IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 and IdeaPad Slim 5x powered by Snapdragon at Affordable Prices

At IFA 2024, Lenovo unveiled a range of laptops utilizing the Snapdragon X Plus 8-core chipset at a more affordable price point. These laptops represent Lenovo’s second lineup of Arm-based laptops this year, following the launch of the Yoga Slim 7x and the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 with Snapdragon X Elite in May, expanding the Copilot+ PC product line into the IdeaPad laptop brand for the first time.

Lenovo’s Snapdragon X-powered laptops are designated with an ‘x’ suffix for easier identification. The Lenovo IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 features a 14″ OLED touch display, 16GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, MIL-STD-810H durability standards, weighing 1.49 kilograms, with a 57WHr battery. The products are set to hit the market in September 2024 starting at 999 euros.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5x offers a standard laptop design with a 14″ OLED 16:10 display, up to 32GB RAM, up to 1TB storage, MIL-STD-810H durability, weighing 1.48 kilograms, with a 57WHr battery. These laptops are also set to launch in September 2024 starting at 899 euros.

In addition to the Arm-based products, Lenovo introduces the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 (without ‘x’) featuring the same design but powered by an AMD Ryzen 7000 CPU. It comes in two display sizes:

– Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 (15″) priced at 699 euros, available from October.
– Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 (13″) priced at 699 euros, available from October.
