Intel Confirms Resolving Stability Issues of CPU 13th/14th Gen Completely After Updating Full Microcode

Intel has informed The Verge that the instability issue with 13th/14th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs has now been fully resolved after updating the microcode as per the plan. Intel confirmed that the cause of instability was due to Vmin Shift Stability, or excessive voltage fluctuations, as previously stated. The solution is to update the microcode through BIOS updates for various motherboard brands. CPUs that have already experienced issues cannot be recovered, but Intel allows for replacement with new CPUs and extends the warranty from 3 to 5 years for boxed retail CPUs. PC brands have also extended their warranty periods to align with Intel’s, with the exception of NZXT. The affected CPUs are only the Raptor Lake models on desktops and do not impact laptop CPUs.
TLDR: Intel has resolved the instability issue with Raptor Lake CPUs through microcode updates and offers replacements for faulty CPUs, along with extended warranties for both CPUs and PC brands.
