Adobe has introduced Adobe Content Authenticity, a web app that is freely available for adding Content Credentials or identifying the ownership of work. Currently, Adobe is already using this in content created on Creative Cloud apps such as Photoshop, Lightroom, and Firefly.
The highlight of Content Credentials, besides identifying the ownership of work, is also adding vital metadata. Content Credentials also support setting “allow or disallow” permissions to use this content for training Generative AI models. Adobe is pushing for this standard in AI model development to protect the work of creators.
The Adobe Content Authenticity web app will be available for free in public beta status starting from the first quarter of 2025. You can register for early notifications here. The Google Chrome Extension is already available for use starting today.
