According to Bloomberg, Dan Riccio, a high-ranking executive in Apple’s hardware division who has been with the company for 26 years, retired this month. Riccio began working at Apple in 1998 and became the head of hardware engineering in 2012, overseeing key products such as the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Vision Pro, transitioning to Apple Silicon. His most recent disclosed position was as the head of the Vision Pro team, while also overseeing the autonomous car project or Project Titan, which Apple has since terminated.
Apple has appointed Mike Rockwell as the head of the Vision Pro team and promoted John Ternus to Vice President of Hardware Engineering.
