Unveiling the New Generation iPad Mini: Featuring A17 Pro Chip, Apple Intelligence, and Compatibility with the Latest Apple Pencil Pro.

Apple unveils the latest iteration of the iPad mini without the traditional press event, opting for a simple press release instead. This upgraded model builds upon its predecessor released in 2021, featuring the same familiar design and an 8.3-inch Liquid Retina display. However, the major changes lie within the upgraded hardware specifications.

Key hardware improvements include the new A17 Pro chip with a 6-core CPU, boasting a 30% increase in speed compared to its predecessor, and a 5-core GPU for a 25% performance boost. The device now supports Apple Intelligence, allowing for enhanced iPad functionality with the A17 Pro chipset, previously limited to the M1 and newer models. Additionally, the Wi-Fi 6E capability is included, with the Cellular model exclusively supporting eSIM, following the trend set by previous iPad releases.

The rear 12MP ultra-wide camera now supports Smart HDR 4 and Center Stage, providing improved photo and video capabilities. The latest Apple Pencil Pro and Apple Pencil USB-C are also compatible with the new iPad mini.

Available in four colors – space gray, blue, purple, and starlight, the device offers storage options of 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB, with prices starting at 17,900 Baht for the Wi-Fi model and 23,900 Baht for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. The official sales launch date for Thailand is yet to be announced, while pre-orders in the US begin on October 23rd.

TLDR: Apple introduces the new iPad mini with upgraded hardware specifications, including the advanced A17 Pro chip, improved CPU and GPU performance, and enhanced camera features. Available in four colors and multiple storage options, the device is set to launch soon.
