Two years ago, there was a Twitter account @ElonJet that reported the private jet location of Elon Musk. The account was later banned for sharing coordinates of other individuals. Now, the account tracking private jets is back on Threads.
Jack Sweeney, the creator of @ElonJet, currently a student at Florida, created accounts on Threads and Instagram to track private jets of various celebrities like Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, Kim Kardashian, Taylor Swift, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Donald Trump. However, all these accounts have recently been suspended.
Meta’s representative confirmed the ban on these accounts due to privacy concerns, stating it was in accordance with the Oversight Board’s evaluation that these accounts could pose a threat to the individuals being tracked.
Sweeney posted on Threads expressing his feelings of being banned on Twitter and Meta’s lack of communication regarding the recent suspension. This lack of communication has left him unable to provide additional reasons to the Oversight Board for consideration. He affirmed that all the displayed information is publicly available on ADS-B Exchange.
