X has announced the gradual implementation of new terms of service, particularly regarding the account blocking system. Previously declared official in September, blocked accounts can still view various posts if they are public. They can also see the list of accounts they follow or are followed by, but they are unable to interact with posts such as reposting, quoting, liking, responding via DM, adding to lists, or tagging.
Under the old blocking system, blocked users were completely restricted from viewing the posts or any other information from the blocking account. This tweak by X has transformed the traditional concept of blocking into something less straightforward.
Nevertheless, X has clarified that this adjustment is intended to enhance transparency on the platform.

TLDR: X is updating its block function allowing blocked accounts to see public posts and account lists but restricting interactions.
