Enhancing Paint and Notepad with Novel AI Features by Microsoft

Microsoft has announced new AI capabilities in Paint and Notepad, impacting Windows 11 users within the Windows Insiders group. Here are the details:

In Paint version 11.2410.28.0, a new feature called Generative Fill allows users to create objects in images based on specified positions through prompts. If the resulting image is unsatisfactory, users can choose to “Try again” or adjust details further within the prompt. This feature is exclusive to Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon CPUs and requires logging in with a Microsoft account.

Another feature in Paint is Generative Erase, which smoothly removes objects from images using a brush to paint over the area you want to erase. This feature is available to all Windows 11 users.

Additionally, a feature to enhance drawing processes called Cocreate speeds up model improvements and is accessible on Copilot+ PCs with Snapdragon CPUs. Lastly, the Image Creator feature generates images from prompts, expanding its usage to include Thailand.

In Notepad version 11.2410.15.0, the ability to Rewrite enhances text writing by allowing users to expand, shorten, or adjust language tones as desired. This feature is available for all Windows 11 users, including those in Thailand, and requires logging in with a Microsoft 365 account and Copilot Pro.
