Apple introduces the latest version of its video editing app, Final Cut Pro 11. This update marks a significant milestone as the previous version, Final Cut Pro 10, has been in use since 2011, a span of 13 years. With the improved processing power of the M-series chips and AI, Final Cut Pro 11 now features the new Magnetic Mask tool for precise color correction and video effects. Additionally, the Transcribe to Captions feature allows for automatic captioning through Apple’s speech-to-text model.
Other tools such as Smart Conform for formatting posts on social media, Enhance Light and Color for automatic color correction, Smooth Slo-Mo for creating and merging video frames, Voice Isolation for crystal-clear audio, and support for Spatial video editing for Apple Vision Pro have also been added.
Apple has also released Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.1, which includes the Enhance Light and Color feature and improved workflow. Live Drawing has been integrated for easier animation creation in videos. Final Cut Camera 1.1 for iPhone now supports recording HEVC-encoded Log videos in a separate session for professional editing.
Final Cut Pro 11 on Mac is available as a free update for existing users, while new users can purchase it for 9,990 baht. A free 90-day trial is also offered. Existing users of Final Cut Pro for iPad 2.1 can update immediately, while new users can subscribe for 199 baht per month or 1,990 baht per year. Final Cut Camera 1.1 is a standalone app available for download and updates.
