Travelers nowadays commonly use travel cards for their international trips, as they often offer favorable exchange rates and do not incur the 2.5% foreign currency conversion fee. Recently, YouTrip, a Singaporean travel card, has entered the Thai market in partnership with Kasikorn Bank. They have announced their support for card linking with Google Wallet, making them the 6th service provider to do so. YouTrip is also the first travel card in Thailand to support card linking with Google Wallet.
The process of linking the card remains the same as with other cards, using the Google Wallet app and selecting “Add to Wallet” > “Payment card” and following the on-screen instructions. If there are multiple cards in the Google Wallet, users can set YouTrip as the default card for contactless payments during travel for added convenience, eliminating the need to switch cards through the app.
