Amplitude Studios, a French game development studio known for their Endless Universe and Humankind series, has announced the upcoming release of Endless Legend 2, the sequel to their fantasy empire-building game Endless Legend which debuted in 2014.
In Endless Legend, players engage in turn-based empire building on a hexagonal grid similar to other 4X games like Civilization. They must gather resources, develop technologies, engage in warfare, and engage in diplomacy, all within a fantasy-inspired setting that sets it apart from the typical historical themes. The events of this game will unfold on the planet Saiadha, filled with vast oceans and various islands.
The game is set to enter Early Access on Steam soon, with the platform currently announced for Windows only.
It’s worth noting that Amplitude recently separated from Sega to become an independent studio by the end of 2024, making Endless Legend 2 their first game in this new era.
