Google has introduced Gemini 2.0 Flash to all users, a model that was unveiled in December 2024 and is exclusive to Gemini Advanced package buyers and select users for a limited time. The highlight of Gemini 2.0 Flash is its improved performance, scoring better than the previous Gemini 1.5 model and responding faster.
Google has indicated that Gemini 1.5 Flash/Pro models will be kept for a few more weeks and eventually phased out (as per my own account, the default is still Gemini 1.5 Flash with the option to switch to Gemini 2.0 Flash). Additionally, Google has enhanced the image generation model of the Gemini app to Imagen 3, which has been long overdue and now offers greater accuracy.
