Ubisoft has revealed its financial results for the fourth quarter of 2024 (also known as the third quarter of FY2024-2025 according to the financial year system), with the company’s revenue at 301.8 million euros, a decrease of 51.8% compared to the same quarter the previous year. When considering the accumulated revenue for the first 9 months of the financial year, totaling 944 million euros, there was a decrease of 34.8%.
The decline in Ubisoft’s revenue is not surprising, as the company is currently undergoing a restructuring process. There have been no further updates since the announcement made in January. Cost reductions have been in line with the plan to cut expenses by 200 million euros, including studio closures, layoffs, and the cancellation of the game project XDefiant.
The standout performers for Ubisoft at the moment include Rainbow Six Siege, which is now in Year 9 Season 4 with an increasing number of daily active users, and The Crew Motorfest, which has received an update for Year 2 and has shown better monetization rates than The Crew 2.
One game that everyone is eagerly anticipating is Assassin’s Creed: Shadows, set to be released on March 20th. The company has indicated that pre-order sales for the game are “tracking solidly,” on par with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, which holds the second highest sales figures in the franchise (after Valhalla). This news is sure to excite fans of the series and boost their confidence in the game’s potential success.
