Rumor has it that Apple’s new products of the week, as reported by Mark Gurman of Bloomberg’s Power On newsletter, will be focusing on the Studio Display and related products.
Starting with the new Studio Display, Gurman’s intel suggests that the product will debut in 2026 alongside the Mac M5 chip, maintaining the same 27-inch screen size. Codenamed J427, details on specs are scarce but it is expected to switch to Mini-LED technology.
As for the Pro Display XDR with a 6K resolution, Gurman mentions that Apple currently has no plans to develop or release a new version, as the existing model has been on the market since 2019.
Additionally, Gurman provides insights on Apple Maps, indicating that Apple is exploring options to display ads within the mapping app similar to how ads are shown on the App Store, Apple News, or Stocks app. The format of these ads remains unknown but it is seen as a way to generate additional revenue.
