Cutting-Edge Graphics Architecture Unveiled by NVIDIA Surpasses Blackwell 3 by Threefold, Set to Hit Markets by Late 2026.

Jensen Huang has unveiled details about the upcoming Vera Rubin chip, set to be released by the end of 2026. Vera is the CPU successor to the current Grace chip, while Rubin is the graphic component following Blackwell.

Details are still scant, with Vera being a custom Arm core with 88 cores and 176 threads, along with NVLink connecting the graphic component at 1.8TB/s. Rubin will come with 288GB of HBM4 memory (equivalent to the largest Blackwell version), but with three times higher processing power at 50 PetaFLOPS FP4 compared to Blackwell’s 15 PetaFLOPS. The chip, along with the cabinet, can run at 3.6 ExaFLOPS FP4 and is set to be released in the second half of 2026.

Rubi Ultra is planning to launch in the second half of 2027, still using the original Vera CPU, but with the Rubin Ultra graphic component doubling the circuit, resulting in each chip delivering 100 PetaFLOPS FP4 and the cabinet achieving 15 ExaFLOPS FP4.

Although direct pricing has not been announced, Jensen Huang mentioned that the performance-to-price ratio of Rubin will be significantly better. If the performance is equal, Rubin’s price will be only 3% of the previous Hopper model.
